Vernon’ s Life History

  • Vernon was born in Spottsville, KY on June 4, 1942 to Edgar U. and Cecille R. Barnett.
  • He attended Stanley Hall  School, Bosse High School and North Trade School.
  • He was in the United States Navy retired in 1980.
  • He was  employed as a Maintenance Mechanic with alcoa.
  • He married Judith A. Carey on June 7, 1964 they have two daughters Tamara D. Baughn and Teresa D. Terry.
  • He and his wife attend Bethel Temple Church where they are co-councilors in a pastor’s class.

Vernon’ s Masonic History

  • Vernon was raised a Master Mason in Evansville Lodge # 64 November of 1987
  • He has plural memberships in Lessing Lodge # 464, Daylight Lodge # 752, Constellation # 748 and Reed Lodge # 316.
  • He is a Past Master of Evansville Lodge.
  • He became a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Evansville in November of 1987
  • He is currently serving as Sovereign Prince in the  Mordecai Council, Princes of Jerusalem.
  • He is a member of the Robert Morris Chapter # 87 Eastern Star Worthy Patron.
  • Vernon received the Double Eagle Award in January of 2017.
